Assignment Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse for the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU). This role is ideal for a candidate with substantial ICU experience, particularly in Level I trauma settings. The unit primarily manages post-surgical patients, including those with open abdomens and multi-system trauma. The ideal candidate will excel in critical care environments and possess strong skills in titrating drips.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a SICU setting
- Monitor and interpret telemetry strips
- Titrate drips including pressors, sedation, paralytics, and insulin
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including house supervisors, intensivists, and RT staff
- Participate in unit-specific orientation and EPIC training
Qualifications
Required:
- Current IL RN license or application in process
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (AHA)
- ICU experience, particularly Level I trauma exposure
- Experience in titrating drips

- No BSN requirement stated
