This contract opportunity is ideal for a Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in medical-surgical units, seeking to expand their skills and make a meaningful difference.
Schedule:
- Multiple shift options: days, mids, and nights available
- 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
- Typical night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Key Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Experience in Med Surg (Medical-Surgical) nursing required
- Strong assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
- BLS certification; ACLS preferred
- Excellent communication and critical thinking capabilities
- Adaptability to varying patient needs and fast-paced environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive care to patients in a med-surg setting, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with treatments
- Collaborate with physicians and allied health professionals to implement individualized patient plans
- Perform thorough patient assessments and update records accurately
- Educate patients and families regarding health conditions, treatment protocols, and post-discharge care
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized unit; adhere to infection control and safety procedures at all times
- Respond promptly to clinical changes with professionalism and sound judgment
