Job Description
The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process, adhering to state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. This role entails demonstrating critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to ensure safe delivery of care. The nurse will maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and will delegate patient care priorities in alignment with staff qualifications. Additionally, this role includes supervising and directing patient care personnel.
Responsibilities
- Utilize the Nursing Process in patient care delivery.
- Maintain high clinical standards and competencies through continuous education.
- Demonstrate critical thinking and adept scientific judgment.
- Supervise and direct medical personnel and coordinate patient care effectively.
- Anticipate and plan for safe delivery of care in a telemetry unit.
Required Experience
- Prior experience in LTAC or Telemetry nursing.
- Experience with ventilators and tracheostomy care, as well as knowledge of central lines.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current Florida RN or multi-state compact RN license.
- ACLS and BLS certifications through the American Heart Association.
