Job Summary
Pre-Operative Registered Nurse Remote (Support for Surgical Patients) in a centralized call center environment. This role involves reviewing Epic charts, assessing patient readiness for surgery and anesthesia, and completing approximately 9 patient calls daily. The position requires strong multitasking, documentation, and communication skills to support pre-admission testing and pre-op procedures.
Job Details
- Position Description: Support unit pre-admission testing and pre-op beds across approximately seven facilities remotely. Engage in reviewing Epic charts, verifying medication and hold times, NPO instructions, skin prep, arrival instructions, and risk assessments.
- Certifications, Education, and Experience: Active RN license, BLS certification, 2 years of experience in Pre-Admission Testing, Pre-Anesthesia, Pre-Op, or equivalent, and Epic experience required. Must be familiar with Epic Chat, multiple email platforms, and Google Drive.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, totaling 40 hours per week. Occasional extensions may be required.
- Additional Information: Role is performed in a high-volume, fast-paced call center setting, requiring punctuality, accountability, and dependability. Must be comfortable multitasking and delivering clear communication of pre-procedure instructions. This position supports approximately 7 facilities remotely and does not include weekend, holiday, or call requirements.
