Job Details
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS (preferred); required certifications include ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS.
- Education requirements: Must hold a license to submit and be willing to wait for license verification.
- Experience Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of recent experience with fresh open-heart cases and mixed ICU patient care.
- Location: The healthcare provider is seeking qualified candidates to work in their ICU setting.
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with approximately 36 hours per week.
- Responsibilities include providing specialized care for post-operative cardiac patients and managing complex ICU cases, with a focus on dysrhythmia management, ventilator care, and telemetry monitoring.
- Candidate must have recent experience in a cardiac ICU environment, including handling fresh open-heart cases.
- Clinical orientation involves a one-day unit-specific training.
- The unit does not require a hospitalist or intensivist in-house, but RT (Respiratory Therapy) support is available 24/7.
- The hospital has a cancellation policy allowing up to 4 shifts cancelled per 13-week assignment.
- Telemetry, GE monitors, and ventilators are used in patient care.
