Contract | Days | Rotating schedule of 4x10-hour shifts (7:30 AM–6:00 PM) or 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM–7:30 PM) | On-call required (rotating weeknights, weekends, and holidays) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Vascular Interventional Radiology setting across two downtown building locations, with weekly rotating assignments based on departmental needs
- Administer and monitor moderate sedation during interventional procedures
- Circulate and assist with interventional radiology and vascular procedures for both pediatric and adult patient populations
- Participate in rotating on-call coverage for weeknights, weekends, and holidays; must be available to arrive within 30 minutes of a VIR trauma activation
- Float within the VIR scope of practice to meet facility needs as assigned
- Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health record system
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in ER, trauma, ICU, critical care, or procedural nursing, including moderate sedation experience
- Active South Carolina RN License or Compact State Nursing License required (candidates with a pending SC license may be considered with proof of application or ability to complete the SC walk-through process; clearance to start is contingent upon an active SC license)
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- PALS certification required
- Radiation badge required — must be provided by the staffing agency prior to start; the facility does not supply radiation badges to travelers
- Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in pediatric and/or adult vascular interventional radiology
- Experience circulating for interventional procedures
- Familiarity with Epic electronic health record system
