Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and implement direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per-shift basis
- Assume responsibility for patient care at the unit level, ensuring continuity and quality of care throughout each shift
- Supervise clinical staff and oversee appropriate delegation of patient care duties
- Support nursing leadership to ensure high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care is delivered
- Monitor and maintain competency of clinical staff within the operating room setting
- Manage resources appropriately as they relate to patient care needs
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan or compact eligibility
- Operating Room (OR) clinical experience
- Demonstrated ability to assess and manage patient care in a surgical environment
- Ability to supervise and delegate to clinical support staff effectively
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a high-volume or academic medical center OR setting
- Familiarity with scrub and circulating roles within the operating room
- Experience supporting nursing leadership in quality and safety initiatives
