Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM | Every other weekend required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced, stand-alone emergency room environment serving both adult and pediatric populations
- Manage a patient ratio of 1:5–7, delivering timely and effective emergency nursing interventions
- Accurately document all patient care activities using Epic electronic health records
- Recognize and respond to neurological emergencies, including CVA presentations
- Float to alternate free-standing emergency department locations as needed based on facility demands
- Participate in emergency response operations during hurricane season (June–November), which may include assignment to emergency response teams
Required Qualifications
- Active South Carolina RN License or a valid Multi-State/Compact RN License
- Minimum 1 year of general emergency nursing experience (adult and pediatric)
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
- Experience with CVA patient management and Epic EMR
- Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; locals considered on a case-by-case basis
- All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application; approval is based on facility needs
Preferred Experience / Skills
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
- Prior experience in a stand-alone or free-standing emergency department setting
