Key Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia nursing care to patients recovering from surgical or procedural interventions in the PACU setting
- Monitor and assess patients' vital signs, airway, and neurological status during the immediate post-operative period
- Administer medications and interventions as ordered, responding promptly to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe patient transitions
- Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled, with up to 3 call shifts per 6-week schedule
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts or compact eligibility
- Current BLS certification required
- Prior experience in PACU or post-operative nursing care
- Ability to work night shifts with varied start times and rotating schedule
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification preferred
- Experience with diverse surgical patient populations
- Familiarity with on-call responsibilities in a hospital or surgical setting
