Shift Information
Night Shift (6:00 PM - 6:30 AM) with Weekend and Holiday Rotation
Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years of nursing experience
- Active Illinois RN Licensure
- General Certifications: PALS, BLS/BCLS, ACLS
- Nursing Certifications: TNCC, NIHSS
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (education verification required)
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse for a critical access hospital setting. The ideal candidate will be capable of providing high-quality patient care in emergency situations and is expected to adapt to a challenging work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing techniques, policies, and state laws.
- Document care in accordance with clinical standards.
- Conduct assessments, plan interventions, and evaluate patient care effectiveness.
- Develop, implement, and execute individualized patient care plans as prescribed by physicians or clinic policy, including instruction to patients and families.
- Engage in department performance improvement activities and may participate in shared governance.
- Provide clinical expertise and guidance to support the patient’s ongoing care plan across departments.
- Apply critical thinking regarding patient safety and experience, escalating issues as appropriate.
- Participate in professional nursing activities, including peer review and unit practice decisions.
Holiday and Weekend Availability
Holiday coverage is required, which includes rotating shifts on weekends and holidays, specifically Thanksgiving and New Year's Eve.
Additional Information
Registered Nurses may be required to float to other locations within the region as needed.
