Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) setting
- Manage and monitor fresh open heart surgery patients beginning on post-operative day zero
- Utilize Epic EMR for accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a high-acuity environment
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Active and unrestricted RN license in the state of New York (or compact equivalent)
- Epic EMR experience required
- CVICU or CTICU nursing experience required, including care of post-operative open heart patients
- Influenza vaccination required — no exemptions accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a Cardiothoracic ICU (CTICU) setting
- Familiarity with hemodynamic monitoring and management of post-cardiac surgery complications
