Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Expected 36 hours/week, including every other weekend and holidays
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting with patient ratios of 4:1 to 5:1
- Adapt to workflow changes in an active department currently undergoing construction and expansion
- Care for a diverse emergency patient population, including medical, behavioral health, and medical/psychiatric swing patients
- Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate and thorough clinical documentation
- Operate standard emergency care equipment in alignment with department protocols
- Collaborate within a team-oriented environment, demonstrating flexibility and strong communication skills
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in the state of Maine (or compact eligibility)
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department and/or Critical Care experience
- Minimum of 1 year of travel nursing experience
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, CPI, and NIHSS
- Completion of required facility education modules through the education department
- Professional attire required; any solid scrub color acceptable
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 3–5 years of Emergency Department and/or Critical Care experience
- Experience working in a Joint Commission Certified Stroke Center
- Familiarity with behavioral health patient populations within an emergency setting
- Demonstrated adaptability in high-volume or evolving clinical environments
