Job Summary
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is a highly specialized, nationally recognized center providing the highest level of care available for sick or premature newborns. As a Level IV NICU, we offer advanced treatment for respiratory failure and heart disease.
Job Duties
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to premature and critically ill newborns.
- Monitor and assess the health status of neonates.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and families.
- Educate parents and families about their newborn’s care and conditions.
Schedule
Rotating shifts including days, evenings, and nights, with requirements to work weekends and holidays.
Job Requirements
- Current RN License in New York.
- Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience.
- Experience in telemetry nursing preferred.
Certifications
- NRP 8th Edition Certification required.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
