Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical With Telemetry, Libertyville, Illinois. The position provides care for progressive care, cardiac, and telemetry patients, including individuals recovering from cardiac catheterization, as well as those with congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, pneumonia, and basic wound care needs. The role includes a 12-hour day shift schedule, telemetry monitoring, and participation in weekend rotation.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shifts are 12 hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Weekend rotation is every other weekend.
- Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse with at least 2 years of experience; Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications; experience caring for progressive care, cardiac, and telemetry patients; wound care skills; peripheral intravenous (PIV) starts.
- Additional Information: Patient assignments include a registered nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 on day shifts. Responsibilities include care for post-cardiac-catheterization patients and patients with congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, pneumonia, and basic wound care needs. No floating is required. Centralized telemetry monitoring is supported by telemetry technicians, with access to respiratory therapy and hospitalist services 24/7, phlebotomy support, and wound care consultations. Navy blue scrubs are required.
