Job Summary
The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Registered Nurse (RN) position is based at a Level A main hospital facility. This role involves providing specialized nursing care in a busy cardiac catheterization laboratory, supporting procedures such as heart catheterizations, TAVR, TMVR, and stent placements. The position requires managing adult patients with complex cardiovascular needs in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
- Position: Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory RN
- Location: Level A Main Hospital, 100 McGregor St, Floor A
- Schedule: Days from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM with call, 10 hours per shift, 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, ACLS certification, at least 2 years of experience in cardiac or critical care, experience with Impella and IABP, ability to independently titrate drips, and critical care experience.
- Unit Description: The unit features three cath labs, a holding area for in-patients, and a radial lounge for out-patients. It is equipped with OCT, IVUS, Shockwave, Impella, IABP, Pacers, Rota, CSI, Opsens, Cath Works, and Penumbra.
- Procedures Performed: Left and right heart caths, drug studies, TAVR, TMVR, ASD/PFO, stents/angioplasty, atherectomy, mechanical thrombectomy, IABP, Impella, Mitral Clip, temp wires, pressure wires, and VSD closure.
- Additional Information: Self-scheduling for call, typically one day a week and one weekend a month. Call hours are 4:30 PM to 7:30 AM. Weekend call is from 4:30 PM Friday to 7:30 AM Monday.
