Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an intensive care unit setting, monitoring and managing critically ill patients
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and responses in the medical record
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate emergency measures as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa or a compact state license
- Current BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Minimum of 1–2 years of ICU or critical care nursing experience
- Ability to work night shifts, every other weekend, and every other holiday
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
- Familiarity with critical care protocols and evidence-based practice in an ICU environment
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills in high-acuity settings
