Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30) | Every other weekend and holidays as applicable to operations
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on Medical/Surgical Telemetry units, including cardiac, spine, and neuro settings
- Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, including identification of lethal arrhythmias and heart blocks
- Float to other units as needed based on operational requirements
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes in a high-acuity inpatient environment
Required Qualifications
- Active Wisconsin RN license or valid Compact RN license required
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Minimum of two years of acute care inpatient RN experience within the last three years in a Med/Surg or Telemetry specialty
- Experience working across multiple Med/Surg unit types, including cardiac, spine, and neuro
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must pass a Telemetry exam prior to start (adult and pediatric components; 80% or higher passing score required, with 100% identification of lethal rhythms on the adult exam); up to three attempts permitted under specified conditions
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a Magnet-designated or academic medical center environment
- Familiarity with high-acuity telemetry monitoring and complex cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Prior travel nursing experience in a fast-paced, multi-specialty inpatient setting
