Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-risk perinatal nursing care in a Level III Labor and Delivery unit with 19 L&D beds, 10 antepartum beds, 30 postpartum beds, 3 ORs, 2 PACU, and a 7-bay triage area
- Maintain staffing ratios of 1:1 in labor, 1:2–3 in antepartum, and 1:3 couplets in postpartum with CNA support
- Participate in triage care alongside a team of skilled RNs per shift
- Float to Postpartum as needed
- Work within a collaborative care team including delivering providers, CRNAs, surgical techs, CNAs, and health unit coordinators available 24/7
- Document patient care using EPIC electronic health records
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
- Required certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring or Relias Fetal Monitoring
- Sterile vaginal exam (SVE) competency is a hard requirement
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a facility handling 200 or more deliveries per year is strongly preferred; candidates with experience in facilities handling 100–200 deliveries will be considered
- Familiarity with high-risk perinatal and antepartum patient populations
- Prior experience working in a Level III perinatal or women's and children's care setting
