TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Prattville, Alabama.

CLINICAL INTERVIEW

General Information:
Number of Beds:17
Will you accept a traveler with 1-year experience? No
Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes with at least 2-years’ experience, Cerner experience

Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, CPI or similar

Technology/Equipment:
EMR: Cerner
IV pumps: Plum 360
Medication dispensing: Omnicell
Monitors: Spacelabs

Patient Types:
Peds – Geriatrics, psych, stroke, heart complications, sports injury, MVA
Peds experience not required. (Most peds go to Baptist East)

Patient Ratios: 1:4

Skills required: trach care, vent care, ICU drip care and maintenance, chest tube, art line, CVL, PICC, midline, port, foley, splint/Ortho device application and care, BiPAP/hi-flow, continuous bladder irrigation

Floating: If yes, where? None

Orientation (#hrs/shifts):
New Hires or >1yr- 24 hrs. in classroom, 24 hrs. on the unit
Rehires pending last date.

Scheduling:
Weekend rotation: Every other or 4 weekend days per month if on block schedule
On call? No
Holiday Expectations: One major and one minor seasonal holiday per policy
Approval of time off? Can we approve up to 7 days off on your behalf? Yes, excluding provided blackout dates
Can we text you with any requests over 7 days? Email for approval;
Shift times: 7a-7p, 7p-7a, 11a-11p
Schedule cycle: 6 weeks
