Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Progressive Care Unit. The role provides safe, therapeutic, individualized care to patients and families while supporting holistic goals and quality outcomes. The position manages complex or high-risk clinical situations, promotes patient advocacy, and applies the nursing process across an assigned patient population.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Assignment Dates: 11/07/202602/06/2027.
- Required Qualifications: California Registered Nurse license; Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN); at least three years of recent registered nursing experience, including at least two years of recent experience in a specialty area.
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include individualized assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care; patient and family advocacy; collaboration in complex, new, unusual, or high-risk clinical situations; safe medication administration; blood product administration; electrocardiogram (EKG) monitoring; hemodialysis; intravenous therapy; vascular access care; wound therapy; non-invasive ventilation; enteral and parenteral nutrition; pain management; chest tube and tracheostomy care; urinary catheter care; restraint management; and prevention of catheter-associated urinary tract infections (CAUTI), central line-associated bloodstream infections (CLABSI), and hospital-acquired pressure injuries (HAPI).
