Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week with rotating weekends
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 40-bed Medical/Surgical unit with a 1:7 patient ratio
- Perform unit-level procedures including EKGs, glucose monitoring, and venipuncture
- Document patient information and clinical data using the Meditech documentation system
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including a clinical nurse coordinator, PCTs, and a unit coordinator each shift
- Adhere to floating policy — contract staff are first to float to like units as needed
- Maintain compliance with BLS certification and all applicable clinical standards throughout the assignment
Required Qualifications
- Active, current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia
- BLS certification (required)
- Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
- Proficiency with standard medical/surgical equipment and clinical workflows
- Ability to work rotating weekends as part of the expected schedule
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Meditech electronic health records system
- Familiarity with high-volume acute care environments
- Strong communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced unit setting
