Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a stand-alone emergency room setting serving both adult and pediatric populations
- Manage a patient ratio of 1:5–7, delivering timely and high-quality emergency nursing care
- Utilize Epic electronic health records for accurate and efficient clinical documentation
- Assist in the assessment and treatment of patients presenting with general emergency conditions, including CVA
- Float to alternate free standing emergency department locations as needed based on facility demands
- Participate in emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November), including potential assignment to emergency response duties
Required Qualifications
- Active South Carolina RN License or a valid Multi-State/Compact RN License
- Minimum 1 year of emergency room nursing experience (adult and pediatric)
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
- Experience with CVA management and Epic EMR
- Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
- All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application; approval is based on facility needs
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Certification in NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- Certification in TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- Prior experience in a free standing or stand-alone emergency department setting
