Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 31-bed Emergency Department serving all age populations, including behavioral health and acute patients
- Maintain a patient ratio of 1:4, with flexibility during high-volume periods, admit holds, or when a patient requires immediate care
- Utilize MedHost (ED) as the primary EHR, with Meditech used for admit holds and behavioral health patients
- Participate in rotating weekend coverage as needed
- Float to other areas of the department as needed
- Uphold professional, compassionate, and team-oriented standards of care
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in Virginia or compact state eligibility
- ACLS certification required prior to start
- BLS certification required prior to start
- NIH certification required prior to start
- PALS or ENPC certification required prior to start
- Handle with Care certification required (available on-site)
- 5 or more years of Emergency Department experience required
- Must consent to random drug screening and complete a Criminal Questionnaire/Consent Form prior to placement
- Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel placement
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Extensive Emergency Room experience across a broad range of patient acuity levels
- Familiarity with MedHost and/or Meditech EHR platforms
- Experience working in a high-volume Emergency Department environment
- Professional, positive, and compassionate demeanor with strong team collaboration skills
