Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Room setting at a Critical Access Hospital
- Float to Med/Surg as needed — some shifts may be more Med/Surg-focused than ER; candidates should be comfortable with both settings
- Utilize Athena EMR for documentation and patient management
- Work within a staffing model of 2 nurses, 1 aide, and 1 staff secretary on the floor
- Maintain patient ratios of up to 5:1, though ratios typically remain around 1:3
Required Qualifications
- Active Kansas state license or multistate (Compact) RN license
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC — all certifications must be through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Ability and willingness to work in both ER and Med/Surg environments
- No radius/mileage restrictions — locals are welcome to apply
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred, though first-time travelers will be considered
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience preferred; candidates with under 3 years of experience may be considered
- Familiarity with Athena EMR
