Make a meaningful difference in students’ lives every school day! Cross Country Education is seeking compassionate Registered Nurses in Wolcott, NY, for a flexible PRN opportunity providing essential nursing care and support to help students stay safe, healthy, and ready to learn.
Position Overview
Provide direct nursing care to students, including assessment and treatment of illnesses, injuries, and acute health concerns that arise during the school day.
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders, individualized health plans, and school health protocols.
Monitor and manage students with chronic health conditions, including pediatric diabetes, and respond appropriately to changes in their health status.
Maintain accurate student health records, communicate relevant health information with appropriate school personnel and families, and support a safe and healthy school environment.
Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
Current American Heart Association CPR/First Aid Certification
NYSED fingerprint clearance required
Experience caring for pediatric patients, including familiarity with pediatric diabetes management
