Job Description
Join a dedicated team that provides moderate sedation in a fast-paced procedural area, caring for patients undergoing preventative and interventional stroke care. The Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for intraoperative moderate sedation and will circulate when not providing sedation. The RN administers moderate sedation, closely monitors the patient's cardiac and physical status, and collaborates with the physician to ensure safety, comfort, and privacy.
Responsibilities
- Administer moderate sedation.
- Monitor patient cardiac and physical status.
- Collaborate with the physician during procedures.
- Maintain patient safety, comfort, and privacy.
- Circulate in procedural area when not sedating.
Required Experience
- RN License (New York Only)
- Moderate Sedation Experience Required
- Interventional Radiology (IR) Experience Required
- Two (2) years of experience or experience in a Level 1 trauma center preferred
- Telemetry experience required
Certifications/Licensure
- BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
- ACLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
