Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit Salem, VA. This position supports patients in a 12-bed surgical intensive care unit with a collaborative, team-focused clinical environment. The role includes day shifts, advanced critical-care equipment, and care for patients requiring intensive monitoring and support.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Basic Life Support (BLS); Intensive Care Unit experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Surgical experience.
- Schedule: Day shifts consisting of 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: The unit uses patient ratios of 1:1, 2:1, and 3:1 and supports procedures including drain management and central line placement. Equipment may include continuous renal replacement therapy, intra-aortic balloon pump, Impella, Arctic Sun, BIS, Vigilance, Cheetah, and Pyxis. Team members participate in every-other-weekend rotations, with no on-call requirement. Navy blue scrubs are required.
