Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Telemetry. The position provides medical-surgical nursing care for orthopedic, neurological, and medical patients in a 32-bed unit. Responsibilities include neuro assessments, telemetry monitoring, and interpretation of telemetry strips.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse license; American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; at least 2 years of experience working in one location and 2 years of experience as a traveler; medical-surgical nursing experience with neuro assessment skills and telemetry competency.
- Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Patient populations include scheduled orthopedic and neurological surgical patients, fractures, neurological patients, and medical overflow. Patient assignments are generally 1:4 during day and evening shifts, with the potential to increase to 1:5, and 1:5 or 1:6 during night shifts.
