Job Summary
Registered Nurse Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Open Heart Colorado. The role provides specialized care for pediatric patients requiring open-heart and intensive care services in a high-acuity critical care setting. The assignment is scheduled for 13 weeks with rotating day and night shifts and may include floating within the professionals clinical competence.
Job Details
- Schedule: 12-hour rotating day and night shifts, with shifts scheduled according to unit needs and a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing accepted with six years of experience. Colorado Registered Nurse license or multistate compact license required. Minimum of two to three years of staff Registered Nurse experience in a dedicated cardiovascular pediatric intensive care unit or pediatric cardiac intensive care unit open-heart setting, along with previous travel experience. Required certifications include Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Heartcode, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Heartcode, and Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification, ventricular assist device (VAD) experience, and teaching hospital experience.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Weekend coverage may be required for up to 75% of scheduled shifts. No on-call requirement is listed. Medical and religious exemption requests from the seasonal influenza vaccination are permitted.
