Job Description
Join our team in a fast-paced environment as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Telemetry unit. You will provide care for inpatient adults with actual or potential life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions. Typical diagnoses include sepsis, myocardial infarction (MI), unstable angina, and Coronary Artery Disease. You will also care for cardiac patients requiring IV antiarrhythmic therapy, vasoactive infusions, and anticoagulation.
The role involves responsibilities such as vasoactive drug administration, antiarrhythmic drug therapy, thrombolytic therapy, defibrillation/cardioversion, thoracentesis, cardiac telemetry monitoring, EKG interpretation, and non-invasive blood pressure monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for patients with life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions.
- Administer and monitor vasoactive drugs and antiarrhythmic therapy.
- Perform therapeutics such as defibrillation, cardioversion, and thoracentesis.
- Conduct cardiac telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation.
- Ensure the timely administration of anticoagulation treatments.
- Float to other units or facilities as necessary based on patient care needs.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of EPIC experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in a relevant nursing field.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active South Carolina RN license.
- ACLS certification required.
- BLS certification required.
- NIHSS certification required.
