Job Summary
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) position supporting the care and monitoring of patients recovering from anesthesia in an acute care hospital setting. The role requires critical care PACU experience, participation in rotating shifts and call coverage, and collaboration within a high-acuity clinical environment.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Illinois license; Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications; at least 3 years of solid acute care hospital experience; at least one completed travel contract; critical care Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) experience; successful completion of an EKG test with a score of 80% or higher.
- Schedule: Rotating schedule with 8-hour shifts and a minimum of 40 hours per week; rotating start times between 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM, with shifts ending at approximately 8:30 PM.
- Call and Weekend Coverage: Three weeknights from 8:00 PM to 7:00 AM and one 24-hour weekend assignment per 6-week schedule, with a 30-minute callback requirement. Holiday coverage follows the call rotation.
- Assignment Dates: 11/08/2026 through 02/07/2027.
- Orientation: 4 hours.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
