Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Progressive Care Unit. The Registered Nurse provides comprehensive patient care, develops and evaluates individualized care plans, and supports safe, effective outcomes. The role also supervises nursing support personnel, coordinates interdisciplinary communication, and contributes to patient education and discharge planning.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shifts consisting of 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required prior to the first shift; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required prior to the first shift where applicable.
- Preferred Qualifications: Two years of bedside clinical experience preferred.
- Responsibilities: Complete patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, document patient responses, provide direct patient care, initiate discharge planning, communicate changes in patient status, and support continuity of care.
- Supervision: Provide direction, training, delegation, and supervision to Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees.
- Patient Safety: Promote patient and employee safety, follow applicable nursing policies and procedures, maintain a safe care environment, and participate in quality and safety initiatives.
- Professional Development: Pursue continuing education and professional development while contributing positively to team functioning and patient outcomes.
