Medical Surgical Oncology Floor (MS ONC) in Asheville, NC. This position involves providing specialized nursing care in a 24-bed oncology unit within a healthcare facility. Job Details

- Required Qualifications: Current nursing license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and up to 1 year of relevant experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Chemo Certification is considered an advantage.
- Additional Information: Unit handles procedures such as occasional pelvic exams, echo, and thoracentesis. The team includes 1 Certified Nursing Assistant, 4-6 RNs, and 1-2 CNA staff per shift, with patient ratios of 1:4 or 1:5. Staff is expected to work approximately six weekend days per schedule and may be required for rare call duties. Dress code for registered nurses is navy, white, or a combination of both; CNAs wear Galaxy Blue. The unit promotes team collaboration and a willingness to learn.
