Job Summary
ICU Registered Nurse (Intensive Care Unit) Located at the healthcare facility, this role involves providing critical care to adult and geriatric patients with complex medical conditions, including stroke, renal failure, and surgical ICU cases. The position offers a night shift schedule with opportunities to float within the ICU specialty as needed.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid MD or Compact State RN License; Certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS; 2+ years of ICU RN experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ICU patients, including stroke, renal failure, CRRT, MI-IABP, respiratory failure, pneumonia, post cardiac arrest, DKA, and surgical ICU.
- Responsibilities: Assist with chest tube insertion/removal, blood product administration, ventilated patient care, central line management, continuous IV sedation, CVVHD/CRRT, emergency medication administration, hypothermia protocol, infection prevention, arterial blood gas interpretation, dysrhythmia interpretation, and intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) management.
- Special Equipment and Procedures: Ceiling lifts, emergency carts including central line, airway, chest tube, pacer, bronch, chemo, CRRT, and malignant hyperthermia carts.
- Additional Information: Candidates must be comfortable floating within scope and provide their labs within 72 hours of contract start. Onboarding compliance requires documentation submission five days prior to shift.
