Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 1+ year of acute care or cardiac cath lab/interventional radiology experience for a 13-week day shift assignment.
Details
- Invasive cardiology unit performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures
- Patient ratio of 1:1
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- On-call required 1 day per week and 1 weekend per month, subject to change per unit needs
- May float between Memorial Hospital North and Memorial Central per unit needs
- Uses Epic for charting
- Scrubs provided
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year acute care or cardiac cath lab/interventional radiology experience
- BLS and ACLS (AHA) required
- ARRT (Radiography) or RCIS credential required, license required if applicable
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Proficiency with vascular closure systems, equipment set up, prep of access site, and sterile field maintenance
- Experience with procedures such as left/right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, cardiac stent placement, IABP placement/removal, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
- Ability to work in both diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab settings
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include accurate hemodynamic monitoring, equipment setup, access site preparation, scrubbing, and room circulation during procedures
- Performs a variety of cardiac procedures including ASD closures, cardiac implant closure devices, PPI, TAVR, Watchman, and rotablator atherectomy
- Maintains and stocks cath lab equipment and supplies, utilizing PACS system
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Candidates previously employed by UCHealth or its affiliates may be subject to eligibility review
- Maximum of 10 RTO days per 13-week contract, with blackout periods during certain weeks
- Local candidates accepted within 75 miles of the facility
