JOB REQUIREMENTS - Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/ABOEM) or ABIM/ABFM with EM experience
- Licenses: Active Texas License required
- DEA / CDS: Active DEA required
- Certifications: ATLS, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP (if applicable)
- Experience: EM residency trained or 1+ year EM experience as MD/DO
- Other Qualifications: IMLC eligible as of Oct 29, 2026; cross-credentialing at multiple STHS ERs required
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - Provide comprehensive emergency medical services in a freestanding emergency department
- Manage trauma stabilization, observation care, and acute medical conditions
- Interpret advanced imaging (CT, X-ray) and utilize on-site laboratory services
- Document patient encounters in Cerner PowerNote ED with Dragon
- Work 12-hour rotating shifts (days and nights) to ensure 24/7 coverage
