Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct, high-quality nursing care to acutely ill adult patients in a Medical Surgical setting
- Support and care for patients undergoing both emergent and elective surgical procedures
- Collaborate with registered nurses and nurse assistants to maintain the highest standards of professional patient care
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding appropriately to changes in acuity
- Uphold unit protocols and evidence-based practices in the delivery of Medical Surgical nursing care
Required Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Oregon RN license required at time of submission
- American Heart Association (AHA) BLS – Healthcare Provider level required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Specialty certification in Medical Surgical Nursing
- Experience caring for acutely ill adult patients in a Medical Surgical environment
- Familiarity with both emergent and elective surgical patient populations
