Our client in Virginia is seeking a dedicated Obstetrics/Gynecology Physician for a 10-day assignment with potential for ongoing coverage. The role involves managing a diverse caseload, including C-sections, vaginal deliveries, and addressing conditions like ectopic pregnancies and abnormal bleeding, while collaborating with an MFM team for high-risk patients.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform C-sections and vaginal deliveries.
- Handle procedures such as suction D&C, ectopic pregnancies, ovarian torsion, and abnormal bleeding.
- Collaborate with MFM for high-risk patients.
- Manage unreferred patients, including deliveries and rounding in the hospital.
- Oversee care in a unit with L&D beds and postpartum beds.
- Manage an average of 2 to 3 nursery admissions per day.
