Contract | Nights (3x12-Hour Shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend Expected | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an ICU setting, managing medical, neurological, surgical, and trauma patient populations
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias; support patients requiring Impella, IABP, and IV insulin protocols
- Perform and manage IV therapy including PICC lines, arterial lines, central lines, and blood administration
- Administer and monitor medications; support GI surgery patients as indicated
- Float to Med/Surg Telemetry as needed (PCU ratio 1:3, Tele ratio 1:4)
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
Required Qualifications
- Valid California RN License (required at time of submission)
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications (required at time of submittal)
- Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience
- Proficiency in EPIC electronic health records
- Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, Impella, IABP, IV insulin protocols, PICC lines, arterial lines, central lines, and blood administration
- Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- PALS and/or CCRN certification
- Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) experience
- Two supervisor references preferred
