Contract | Night Shift | 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM | Every other weekend required | Holidays as scheduled unless time off is requested
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting serving all age groups with varied diagnoses, with a daily patient volume of approximately 84–118 patients
- Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of approximately 4:1, including fast track patients across a 27-bed/trauma bay unit
- Perform lab draws independently, as the RN team serves as the primary draw resource with lab available as backup
- Function as the IV team for the ED, placing and managing all intravenous access
- Collaborate with ED physicians, ED Techs, security, and 1:1 patient sitters to ensure safe and effective patient care
- May be required to float to other facilities within Region Two when needed; an additional differential applies when floating to a non-primary facility within the region
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in the state of Washington
- Required certifications: TNCC, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS
- Proficiency with Epic EMR
- Ability to perform independent lab draws and manage IV access
- Willingness to work every other weekend and holidays as scheduled
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior Emergency Room experience, including fast track environments
- Charge nurse experience (may be utilized in that capacity if experienced)
- Familiarity with ED Tech-supported workflows and 1:1 patient sitter coordination
