Shoreland Transport USA, a large east coast company is looking for qualified drivers. With a responsive team and top of the line equipment; Shoreland Transport USA has grown into a leader in the transportation industry.

We are currently accepting applications for experienced Truck Operators for our Suffolk location. This is a full-time position and the ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience operating a tractor-trailer unit.

Job Location: Suffolk, VA

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Operates units and associated equipment in a safe, responsible and professional manner.
Follows and complies with all government legislation and internal policies & procedures.
Participates in all pre-job hazard assessments and inspections prior to commencing any job.
Ensures proper load securement of all transported product and any other equipment.
Responsible for safe food practices during transport, loading and offloading of product at different locations.
Completes all required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner, while following all federal hours of service regulations.
Ability to provide leadership and coaching to subordinates through coaching and mentoring.
Completes job tasks with personal and public safety as the top priority.

Qualifications:

High school diploma (GED or equivalent)

- Must have CDL - Class A license

1 year of experience in a similar role
Valid Health Card

- Valid TWIC Card
- A clear understanding of various tractor trailer units and their operation

Strong work ethic and reliability

Competitive pay per mile along with drop off/pick up pay.

Safety Bonus potential up to $3500
