Flex-Staff is seeking a highly analytical and big-picture-thinking Production Planner for a temp-to-hire position in the bustling logistics industry. In this role, you'll be instrumental in ensuring smooth and efficient production by collaborating across various departments. You'll work closely with Purchasing, Production, Accounting, Customer Service, and Production Scheduling, making your ability to work effectively with diverse personalities a key asset.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed production plans, ensuring alignment with demand forecasts and operational capacity
- Analyze data to identify trends, potential bottlenecks, and opportunities for process improvement
- Utilize Google Sheets and Excel extensively for data analysis, reporting, and planning
- Coordinate with the Purchasing team to ensure timely availability of materials
- Communicate production schedules and updates clearly and proactively to all relevant departments
- Monitor inventory levels and production progress, making adjustments as needed to meet deadlines
- Problem-solve effectively to address production challenges and unexpected disruptions
- Contribute to a collaborative and efficient workflow across all operational areas
- Write and review EtQ process documentation
Position Details:
- Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
- Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday
- Schedule: Generally between 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM (some flexibility offered)
- Pay Rate: $18 - $20 per hour
- Proven experience preferably in the logistics industry or operational support in manufacturing operations
- Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets and Excel is required
- Strong analytical skills with a knack for identifying patterns and drawing actionable insights
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and understand the broader impact of planning decisions
- Understand how to leverage the software and hardware to arrange and analyze data and generate reports that are easy to understand
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse personalities across various departments
- Superior organizational skills with the ability to effectively multi-task and manage a high volume of concurrent projects
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Must have general knowledge of software to include E1 (or similar ERP)
