Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our fast-paced Labor and Delivery unit. This unit handles a high volume of obstetrical patients, typically exceeding 300 births per month. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-acuity settings and be comfortable managing double labor assignments regularly.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for obstetrical patients in labor and delivery.
- Perform sterile vaginal exams and manage pain assessment and management.
- Circulate during cesarean sections and provide immediate newborn care.
- Manage high-risk antepartum and postpartum patients.
- Utilize electronic medical records system (Epic) for charting.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery required; 3 years preferred.
- Certifications in AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRP required.
- Experience in circulating for C-sections is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with high volume and high-acuity inpatient settings is crucial.
