Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week for 13-week contract
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
• On-call requirements: 12 hours in a 6-week period with 30-minute response time
• May be required to float to other locations: Merrill, Antigo, Medford and Stanley
• Can be low censused and put on call with call back minimum of 2 hours
• 5 years of nursing experience required with at least one year of travel experience (FIRM requirement)
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, ACLS, TNCC and PALS
• EPIC charting experience required
• Work in fast-paced environment caring for 3-4 patients per nurse
• Responsible for drawing labs, administering nebulizer treatments, and medication management using Pyxis dispensing system
• Must be a hard worker who is resilient, manages change well, and able to work independently
• Any color scrubs acceptable
• Associate degree or certificate required; bachelor's degree preferred
• During flu season, unvaccinated travelers must wear masks at all times per facility policy
Facility:
This healthcare organization operates a comprehensive emergency services department featuring an 18-bed Trauma Level II unit that is stroke certified. The facility provides advanced emergency care including cardiac, neurological, pediatric, geriatric, and respiratory services. The emergency department is equipped with in-house laboratory services, respiratory therapy, and on-site X-ray staff, utilizing modern technology including EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis medication dispensing systems to support efficient patient care delivery.
