Job Description & Requirements

Unit & Patient Overview
- Unit Type: 20-bed blended unit
- Average Census: ~11 patients (typically higher during winter)
- Pediatric patients: 8–10 during severe RSV season
- Adult female patients: 4–6 (more during milder RSV seasons)
- Patient Load Goal: RN assigned no more than 5 patients (depends on census and staffing)
- Core Staffing: 3 RNs for the department
- Floating Policy:
- Agency RN may float first if census is low
- RN must be comfortable caring for adult patients
Systems & Certification Requirements
- Charting System: Allscripts
- Medication System: Acu-dose
- EPIC Requirement: Must have EPIC experience within the past year
- EPIC Conversion Date: 03/21/2025 – 04/18/2025
- No RTO allowed during EPIC conversion
- Certifications:
- Required: PALS (for pediatric patient care)
- Not Required: ACLS
