Lodging Stipend - $700 weekly

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position - RN-Intensive Care Unit
Location - 111 Hospital Drive, Utica, NY 13502
Contract Duration - 13 weeks
Day Shift - 6:30 pm to 7 am // 36 hours
EMR Exp Required: EPIC
Floating Required: Yes
Scrub Color: Navy
Must have experience with CRRT and Prismaflex
Heart experience HIGHLY preferred - Manager looking at these as priority!
Unit Specifics:
Beds: 42 beds (East 20, West 22), Neuro/Med: 22, CTICU: 6, Surg/Trauma: 14
Floating required if needed: To all units except Behavioral and ER (unless holding)
Common patient diagnosis: Neuro/Med -Strokes, Sepsis, AMS, Neuro Intervention (TCAR), Resp Failure, CHF, Post Stemi
CTICU- CV surg, Cardiogenic Shock, AAA Surg/Trauma- Trauma, Major post-op sx
Specialty equipment used on unit: IABP, CRRT (PRISMA or NxStage) Ventriculostomy, ICP monitoring, TTM (Artic Sun)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill and high-acuity patients in the Intensive Care Unit
Perform continuous patient assessments and monitor hemodynamic, cardiac, respiratory, and neurological status
Administer medications, IV therapies, vasoactive drips, and blood products as prescribed
Operate and monitor advanced life-support equipment, including ventilators, cardiac monitors, and infusion pumps
Interpret cardiac rhythms, laboratory results, and diagnostic findings to support clinical decision-making
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and participate in code blue and emergency interventions
Assist with invasive procedures, including central line placement, arterial lines, and bedside procedures
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and critical care processes
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems
Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and critical care protocols
Advocate for patient-centered care while promoting optimal clinical outcomes in a fast-paced ICU environment
REQUIREMENT:
2 years min ICU experience - REQUIRED
Current AHA ACLS , BLS, NIHSS
TRAVEL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
