Job Summary:
Neuroscience Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) RN position in Iowa City, Iowa. This role involves caring for adult neurology and neurosurgical patients requiring telemetry monitoring, ventriculostomies with intracranial pressure monitoring, and intensive neurological assessments. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Location: Iowa City, Iowa
- Shift: Days, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license; Certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); experience in neuroscience and trauma care preferred; no minimum experience required
- Additional Information: The unit is a 47-bed neuroscience Intermediate Care Unit caring for patients with stroke, autoimmune CNS diseases, brain and spinal cord surgeries, and neurological trauma involving the head, brain, and spinal cord. The unit has received recognition as a Joint Commission Stroke Center of Excellence, Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Center, and Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval for stroke care.
