Job Summary
Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse with a specialty in Labor & Delivery to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-risk antepartum and postpartum care in a high acuity Labor & Delivery unit.
- Circulate in operating rooms for C-sections and assist with all deliveries.
- Function as a Baby Nurse during deliveries, overseeing care of the newborn immediately after birth.
- Administer medications including Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate as per protocols.
- Perform comprehensive newborn assessments, including administration of Vitamin K and monitoring fetal heart rates using electronic fetal monitoring.
- Float between postpartum, antepartum, and other mother/baby units as required by staffing needs.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a high acuity Labor & Delivery setting, preferably with high-risk experience.
- Active and unencumbered RN license with compact privileges accepted in all Swedish facilities.
- Current certifications in BLS and NRP are required; ACLS and AWHONN Advanced certifications are preferred.
- Must have current supervisory references and proof of required certifications upon submission.
- Experience with Epic charting system and strong familiarity with AWHONN guidelines for staffing and patient care.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed, with pre-approved time off managed on a case-by-case basis.
