Make a meaningful difference as a travel Occupational Therapist in Macomb, MI. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to provide home health services that help patients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities regain or improve daily living skills while working in the local community. This role involves delivering skilled OT services in patient homes and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support safe, functional outcomes.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Active Michigan OT license required to start the assignment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Experience with home health documentation and EMR usage. Familiarity with Home Care Home Base is preferred.
- Productivity expectation: ability to meet approximately 30 points per week.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required for travel to patient homes. Ability to travel within roughly a one-hour radius of hub cities as referrals require.
- Mileage reimbursed at IRS standard mileage rate.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior home health occupational therapy experience is preferred but candidates new to home health will be considered.
- Experience conducting assessments, creating home exercise programs, and providing caregiver education in home settings.
- Comfort with video/Teams interviews and remote onboarding processes.
