Job Summary:
The ICU/Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in Jacksonville, Illinois. This critical care role involves caring for adult patients with complex medical needs, including multi-system organ failure, dysrhythmias, and ventilated patients. The shift is scheduled for nights (7:00 PM 7:30 AM). Candidates are required to bring their active Illinois (IL) nursing license on the first day of the assignment.
Job Details:
- Shift: Nights (19:00 07:30) with a minimum of 36 hours per week and a schedule of 12 hours per shift.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Illinois (IL) nursing license, minimum of 2 years ICU experience, Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS). Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, multi-system organ failure, and IV insulin protocols is required. Proficiency in arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care, PICC line management, and ventilator management is essential.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic and Cerner Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, Trauma Level 1 experience, teaching hospital experience.
- Additional Information: Mandatory float within scope of practice; candidates will float within the hospital or to nearby affiliated facilities as needed. This position requires successful completion of Cerner charting modules prior to start. Flu vaccination is required; medical or religious exemptions accepted.
- Schedule: As specified, the assignment begins on 07/06/2026. The professional may request time off on 07/17/2026-07/18/2026 and 09/10/2026-09/20/2026.
- Submission Requirements: Please provide 2-3 interview times upon submission. Candidates SSN and DOB are required at submittal. References can be pending; licensure must be active IL license in hand at the time of submission. Traveler must be prepared to float within the scope of practice.
